LIFE at 6th Ecosystem Services Partnership (ESP) Europe Conference

The 6th Ecosystem Services Partnership (ESP) Europe Conference brought together scientists, policymakers, practitioners and stakeholders to explore how ecosystem services could address biodiversity loss, climate challenges, social inequalities and sustainable development, and how they could be effectively integrated into policy, governance and decision-making at EU and national levels.

The LIFE Programme was present with a stand and a dedicated presentation, “How Europe’s environment funding supports ecosystem services”, which took place on Tuesday 19 May from 9:40 to 9:55. The session showcased how EU environment funding supported biodiversity conservation, ecosystem restoration and climate resilience through innovative on-the-ground action. It featured insights from LIFE projects, highlighting practical solutions that could be replicated across Europe.

Participants had the opportunity to engage directly with project representatives and discover how LIFE funding supported scalable environmental action on the ground.
