International conference: “Functioning and rehabilitation of European mountain peatlands”

The peatlands of the Jura massif have undergone a large number of disturbances (drainage, peat extraction, etc.), which have ultimately led to the lowering of their water tables. With the ultimate goal of rehabilitating ecosystem services of those peatlands, the LIFE RestituO project will host the international conference titled “Functioning and rehabilitation of European mountain peatlands”. 

The event will target European managers and researchers and will consist of indoor presentations, site visits (including the one to the Swiss Vallée de Joux) and lectures. A more detailed programme will be available closer to the date of the conference.
