On 16 December 2025, the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) and the European Commission's Directorate-General for Climate Action (DG CLIMA) hosted an info day for the Innovation Fund 2025 Net-Zero Technologies Call (IF25 NZT Call).
To help interested applicants prepare their proposals, the key features of the call were presented. This included its design and objectives, the application and evaluation process, 'lessons learned' from previous calls, best practices, and Q&A.
During the event, participants had the opportunity to ask questions via Sli.do using #IF25NZT.

Description

With an estimated budget of €40 billion from 2020 to 2030 from the EU Emissions Trading System, the Innovation Fund aims to create financial incentives for companies and public authorities to invest in cutting-edge low-carbon technologies and support Europe's transition to climate neutrality.
The IF25 NZT call opened on 4 December 2025. Two Innovation Fund auctions on hydrogen production (IF25 Hydrogen) and industrial heat decarbonisation (IF25 Heat Auction) also opened on 4 December.
The Innovation Fund 2025 Heat Auction Info Day and the Innovation Fund 2025 Hydrogen Auction Info Day are also open for registration.
