The XVII European Congress of Ichthyology welcomed ichthyologists from Europe (and all around the world) to meet, discuss and enjoy scientific topics on fishes. The congress and its speakers covered a broad scope and various fields of fish research. The LIFE Programme participated in the congress with a scientific poster called “Freshwater fishes full of LIFE. Addressing the plight of freshwater fish in European Waters”.
