Fit for Biodiversity conference: solutions for the agri-food sector

How can we increase food production while safeguarding biodiversity? This central question lies at the heart of the Fit for Biodiversity Conference, organised under the LIFE BGP Food project in collaboration with partner organisations.

The conference will bring together stakeholders from across the agri-food value chain to explore practical and actionable solutions for integrating biodiversity into food production systems. Discussions will highlight best practices for biodiversity in the agri-food sector, approaches to assessing biodiversity impacts across value chains, the role of biodiversity credits and incentive schemes in supporting nature-friendly agriculture, and effective ways to communicate biodiversity action with credibility and transparency.

The event will also feature participation from the Directorate-General for Environment of the European Commission, contributing to discussions on the future of biodiversity and sustainable food systems in Europe.
