The LIFE AMPHICON project, co-funded by the LIFE Programme, is approaching itsconclusion. To mark this occasion, an international conference has been organised, whichwill take place from 11 to 13 February 2026 in Grosuplje, Slovenia.

Over the past six years, the LIFE AMPHICON project has made a significant contribution to amphibian conservation across six Natura 2000 sites in Slovenia, Germany and Denmark.

The upcoming final LIFE AMPHICON conference will mark the conclusion of the project’s activities by presenting its main achievements and bringing together amphibian experts from across Europe.

The event will be organised into three thematic sessions: conservation of amphibian species and habitats; amphibians and roads; and citizen science and education. In addition to oral presentations and poster sessions, the conference programme will feature the amphibian mobile exhibition and a field excursion to one of the project sites.

The registration deadline for oral presenters and poster presenters is December 15, 2025, while listeners may register until January 12, 2026.Attendance at the conference is free of charge. However, due to limited capacity, participants are required to register online to secure their place.
