European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) 2026

The 20^th edition of European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) will take place on 9-11 June 2026 in Brussels and online, under the overarching theme of ‘A clean, secure and competitive Energy Union’.   

The European Sustainable Energy Week is the biggest annual event dedicated to renewables and efficient energy use in Europe, and it features a 3-day Policy Conference, the EUSEW Awards ceremony, as well as networking opportunities at the Energy Fair, celebrating the people, projects, and initiatives advancing Europe’s transition to clean and sustainable energy.  During the conference, youth voices are put forward through the Young Energy Ambassadors and the European Youth Energy Day. Last but not least, the Sustainable Energy Days give visibility to and foster clean energy solutions in the EU and around the world, from March to June 2026.

Open Calls

EUSEW 2026 will award outstanding individuals and projects for their innovation and efforts in the field of energy efficiency and renewables in three categories: Local  Energy  Action, Women in Energy, and, SMEs Driving Energy Efficiency. Applications for the Local Energy Action and Women in Energy Awards  are open until on 29 January 2026, while the deadline for the SMEs Driving Energy Efficiency Award has been extended until 5 February 2026.

Another pillar of the onsite event is the Energy Fair, a platform to showcase activities in the fields of energy efficiency and renewable energy by hosting an onsite stand during the conference in Brussels. The 2026 edition will host approximately 30 stands in the European Commission’s Charlemagne building. The call for EUSEW Energy Fair is open until 12 March 2026.

The call for the Young Energy Ambassador programme will give young leaders aged 18 to 35 the chance to share their ideas for transforming Europe into the first climate-neutral continent; applications are open until 15 February 2026.  

Other opportunities

The call to host a policy session is now closed.

The call for submitting proposals for the Sustainable Energy Days will open on 17 February.

Info Session
