The 4th European Conference on Connected and Automated Driving (EUCAD2023) will bring together political leaders from the European Commission and Member States with policymakers and representatives of industry, academia and road authorities. Participants will take stock of latest research, policy and regulatory developments in the field of CCAM, while identifying challenges and areas for further action.
EUCAD2023 is organised by the European Commission jointly with the European Partnership on CCAM and the FAME project.
Debate, develop and deploy!
In recent years, public and private actors have joined forces in efforts to bridge the gap between the development and deployment of CCAM, with the European CCAM Partnership providing the framework to accelerate innovation and remove barriers at technical, operational, societal and economic level.
Yet as we move towards large-scale demonstrations by 2030, we must continue to advance the technology readiness and maturity of CCAM solutions, tackle regulatory bottlenecks, scale-up public and private investments, and better understand our societal and environmental needs and expectations.
Participants will help shape future R&I priorities, with the discussions feeding into the update of the Strategic Research & Innovation Agenda of the CCAM Partnership.

Description
This conference will be held as an in-person event on 3-4 May 2023 in Brussels at the European Commission’s Charlemagne building. It will consist of four policy-oriented plenary sessions, complemented by six thematic and technical breakout sessions to discuss specific CCAM challenges. All breakout sessions will feature interactive panel discussions, combined with active audience participation.
After the first day, on 3 May at 18:30, participants are invited to join a networking event at Autoworld, where an indoor exhibition will feature a number of CINEA-supported projects, displaying the latest CCAM technologies and innovations. This event is co-organised by the EUCAR Association.
You can also meet CINEA projects at an exhibition on-site at the Charlemagne building during the entire two-day event with demonstrations of latest CCAM solutions.
