Description
The treatment of wastewater in pulp and paper production is often highly energy-intensive and alternatives are needed to reduce the resulting CO2-emissions.
Sweden’s EffiSludge for LIFE project is working to improve both the resource and energy efficiency of this process. The team’s goal is to help achieve a sustainable and energy-efficient pulp and paper industry.
On 12 November, representatives from EffiSludge for LIFE and the Inter Baltic Biogas Arena (IBBA) are co-hosting a webinar on:
Industrial wastewater management: Exploring higher energy efficiency, carbon-saving solutions - special focus on pulp and paper residues
Experts will discuss resource-efficient concepts, which combine industrial wastewater treatment with biogas production.
Specific agenda items include:
- Biogas as the hub for industrial symbiosis
- Wastewater treatment and biogas
- Carbon-saving projects and industrial symbiosis
The preliminary findings of this LIFE project will also be presented.
More information including the agenda and registration details can be found here.
