COP 28

This year, COP28 takes place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from 30 November until 12 December 2023.  

As a global leader in climate action, the EU is going to COP28 eager to raise ambition among our international partners. This year, the focus will be on global energy targets. 

Besides the negotiations part, the EU will have this year a programme of side events. The events will be held in-person onsite in Dubai, in Brussels and online-only.

On 6 December, follow the EU Transport Day, will bring together policy makers and experts from the transport industry and civil society, with panels discussing the role and contribution of transport in fighting climate change at global level.

On different days, LIFE projects are participating into several sessions, don't miss them.

Additionally, the Innovation Fund will be highlighted during some of the sessions from 5 to 9 December (Clean Tech Funding for Net-Zero, “Fiancing H2: Getting projects across the line to final investment decision (FID)”, “Stimulate climate technology RD&D through partnerships, strengthening the roles of innovators and incubators and accelerators, and the participation of developing country Parties in collaborative approaches to RD&D”, and “Principles & Components of Durable Energy Plans: Financing transition plans”)
