For the past three years, CoolLIFE had been addressing Europe’s rising demand for space cooling. As the project, funded by the LIFE Programme, reached its conclusion, two dedicated sessions were organised to mark this important achievement.
On 14 October, an afterwork event brought together experts from the cooling sector. On that occasion, the CoolLIFE project was presented, highlighting the main lessons learned and the policy recommendations that had emerged. The event also featured a panel discussion on sustainable cooling strategies with contributions from high-level speakers.
The following day, on 15 October, a hybrid afternoon session on heating and cooling integration was held as part of the Institute for the European Energy and Climate Policy (IEECP) conference ‘Please look up! Efficient, resilient, fair and smart – what does our energy and climate future look like?’. The session concluded with a roundtable discussing how to overcome barriers and scale up Energy Efficiency First (EE1st) implementation across Europe.
