Description
Themed ‘Investing in a nature-positive economy', this year’s EU Green Week will explore how nature-positive models work in practice, focusing on profitable farming, soil health, greening cities, and innovative financing to reverse rural flight.
As part of the event, CINEA will contribute through three dedicated activities showcasing innovative green projects and connecting sustainability solutions with investors, stakeholders and citizens, and finally with the LIFE Awards.
Startup–Investor Event: connecting green innovation with investors
For the first time at EU Green Week 2026, innovative start-ups, SMEs and projects working on nature-based solutions and nature-related technologies will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas directly to potential investors during the Startup–Investor Event.
Eleven projects supported by CINEA will take part in the pitching sessions, including five projects supported by Green Assist, three funded under the LIFE programme, and three supported by BlueInvest/EU4Algae under EMFAF. The selected projects will present innovative and investment-ready solutions addressing Europe’s environmental and sustainability challenges, covering areas such as beiodiversity, sustainable forestry, regenerative agriculture, climate adaptation and AI-driven environmental innovation.
Visit the CINEA stand
Join us at the CINEA stand during EU Green Week on 3–4 June and discover EU-funded projects driving Europe’s green transition.
The stand will feature a dedicated Green Assist corner, alongside a range of projects supported under different EU funding programmes. Through demonstrations, materials and interactive exchanges, project representatives will showcase their innovative products, technologies, findings and solutions contributing to sustainability, circular economy, biodiversity, clean energy and climate resilience.
Come meet the projects, exchange ideas and explore how EU funding helps turn green innovation into concrete impact across Europe!

LIFE Awards
The LIFE Awardscelebrate outstanding LIFE projects completed last year that contribute to nature and environmental protection, climate action and sustainability across Europe. Established by the European Commission in 2006, the awards recognise excellence in nature conservation, environmental sustainability and climate resilience. This year’s edition is particularly special, as it marks the 20th anniversary of the LIFE Awards.
