The European Innovation Council (EIC), is organising the Drone Day with various partners to show the advances in European drone technology and its diverse applications.
This event will showcase innovative companies supported by the EIC from across Europe, alongside institutional exhibitors including CINEA. Through exploring the exhibition, interacting with exhibitors, and experiencing live drone demonstrations, the EIC Drone Day will provide a unique opportunity for the public to discover Europe’s latest multi-use drone innovations.
European Commissioner for Startups, Research and Innovation Ekaterina Zaharieva, Mayor of Brussels Philippe Close, and Belgian Minister of Mobility, Climate and Ecological Transition Jean-Luc Crucke will open the EIC Drone Day with remarks at 13.00.
This event is open to the public and does not require prior registration.

Meet the projects!
We are proud to feature the EU Horizon 2020-funded project DRONES4SAFETY who will be present at our stand with a the drone developed as part of the project. The CEF Transport-funded BURDI and U-ELCOME projects will exhibit as part of the SESAR JU and Eurocontrol stands respectively.
The DRONES4SAFETY project successfully developed a cooperative, autonomous, operating drone system to enhance transport safety. Don't miss your opportunity to meet the project represenative and discover more about results of CINEA-supported projects and other support provided .

Following the outdoor exhibition on 16 September, the drones will remain on static display from 17–19 September at the Berlaymont building of the European Commission. On 17 September at 16:30, Commissioner Zaharieva will make remarks, together with Timo Pesonen, Director-General of DG DEFIS and Magda Kopczyńska, Director-General of DG MOVE. Jean-David Malo, Director for ERA and Innovation at DG RTD will serve as master of ceremony.
