BIOGEARS Blue Lab workshop takes place on 29 September at Aquaculture Europe 2022. The workshop will discuss trends, opportunities, challenges and barriers for the implementation of biogears (biobased ropes) in the mussel and seaweed sector in the BIOGEARS implementation regions and in Europe.
- maritime economy | aquaculture
- Rimini , Italy
BIOGEARS aims to provide the European aquaculture sector with biobased ropes for mussel and seaweed production, and to have a highly reduced carbon footprint along the whole value chain. The project consortium has developed and tested prototype biogears (biobased ropes) which have been piloted in sea trials and assessed their performance in mussel culture through technical, economic and environmental analysis.
This interactive workshop will present results to date of the biogears and will encourage feedback from stakeholders on the potential for implementation in different regions across Europe.
A limited number of Tradeshow passes (€50) for attendees to the workshop are available. Please register your attendance to secure this pass via this link.
