2025 LIFE Info Days for Italy

On 24–25 June (09:30–13:00 CEST), the LIFE National Contact Point for Italy – operating at the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security – organised the 2025 LIFE Info Days for Italy.

The event was aimed at Italian LIFE applicants and potential applicants (public or private entities, including NGOs and civil society organisations), and represented a valuable opportunity not only to learn more about the features of the LIFE Programme, the novelties of the 2025–2027 period, and the opportunities to develop green and clean energy transition-related ideas through the funding made available by the LIFE Calls for Proposals for 2025, but also to:

• gain insight into the submission, evaluation, and selection process of project proposals, as well as the financial aspects of LIFE;
• receive practical advice on how to submit a successful proposal;
• learn “facts and figures” about the implementation of LIFE in Italy and discover the support available for Italian LIFE applicants and beneficiaries;
• and hear the real-life experience of an Italian project winner of the prestigious “LIFE Award” in the “Climate Action” category.

The event, which was held online via Microsoft Teams and conducted in Italian, allowed participants to interact with some of the central actors of LIFE in both Europe and Italy. The speakers of the 2025 LIFE Info Days for Italy included:

• representatives from CINEA (for each LIFE sub-programme), the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency, which manages LIFE on behalf of the European Commission;
• the team of the LIFE National Contact Point for Italy, which not only promoted LIFE opportunities and annual calls, but also provided direct support to Italian applicants in submitting proposals, and assisted LIFE project beneficiaries in Italy to strengthen the dissemination of their results and foster replication;
• and representatives from two Italian universities that are LIFE beneficiaries: Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna, and the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”.
