The European Week of Regions and Cities is taking place from 11 – 14 October. #EURegionsWeek is the largest Brussels-based event dedicated to regional policy. On the 12th, a virtual workshop will look at how the LIFE programme is helping public authorities to make the green transition.

Public authorities should support the green transition by having a green, inclusive and fair governance process.
The Green transition: LIFE supports public authorities workshop will discuss the main challenges impacting the adoption of EU environmental legislation at local and regional levels. It will also present how LIFE funding can support this process through its Strategic Integrated Projects and Strategic Nature Projects. And it aims to inspire potential Call applicants by providing expert tips on writing a winning LIFE proposal.
Also, this workshop will feature several LIFE-funded projects that have supported the implementation of EU environmental legislation.
