The initial PSLF budget was €1.46 billion. However, in February 2024, EU Member States agreed to revise the available funding for the 2021-2027 Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF). As a result of this revision, the total budget was reduced to €1.31 billion and the national envelopes in the first call were reduced accordingly. The PSLF is implemented through two calls.
Second call for proposals 2026–2027 (OPEN for applications)
The second call for proposals (2026–2027) is implemented on a fully competitive basis, open to all EU Member States without national allocations, with a remaining budget of approximately €630 million.
First call for proposals 2022–2025 (CLOSED for applications)
The first call closed in September 2025 and the consumption per national allocation is presented in the table below. The amounts remaining are included in the second call for proposals, which is organised on a competitive basis at EU level until the exhaustion of the budget.
